The truth about Spyro the Dragon

Spyro the Dragon is one of the most recognized and respected game icons of the 21st century.

Exploding on the gaming platform in 1998, Insomniac Games brought us a purple, eager, eager little dragon and its dragonfly friend, Sparx.

Sony Computer Entertainment and Insomniac Games are the ones who thank you for the fun hours playing games.

Released on PlayStation, Spyro has since broadened its horizons and appeared on other consoles: PS4, PS3, PS2, Nintendo Gamecube, Game Boy Advance, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS / 3DS.

Spyro the Dragon

Spyro started his life with the game of the same name Spyro the Dragon.

In this adventure, the villain Gosystem Gnorc uses a spell to freeze dragons around the world.

He thinks he won, but of course not.

As an additional challenge, a dragon appears and reveals that a level will appear if Spyro collects dragons, eggs and gems individually throughout the game.

Nasty Gnorc is just the beginning of the many antagonists that Spyro must defeat to save his world.

Spyro 2: Ripto's Revenge's

Following the success of the first game, the sequel Spyro 2: Ripto's Revenge (also known as Gateway to Glimmer) brings a whole new adventure and new characters have appeared in many other Spyro games.

Spyro, after defeating the Gosystem Gnorc, decided that he needed a vacation and went through a portal, Sparks' right behind him.

Meanwhile, Ripto (the new pint-sized villain) and his shady companions, Crush and Gulp, decide to settle in the kingdom of Avalar.

After deciding to eliminate Ripto, Hunter the Cheetah, Elora the Faun, and The Professor try to bring back a dragon ... And our hero will appear!

On his way through the Summer Forest, the Autumn Plains and the Winter Gulf, Spyro defeats Ripto, bringing happiness and peace to the world.

Like the previous game, once the player has collected all the gems and orbs, the portal to the Dragon Shores will open - where a new Super Firebreath Powerup is waiting for you.

However, unlike the previous game, Spyro learns new abilities, through Hunter's help, or by trading gems with Moneybag the Bear (yes, he's really greedy!).

New Spyro abilities include swim / dive, climb and hit head.

This game also features 'Power Up Gates', in which some souls for the villains must be collected.

Once the gates are fully prepared, Spyro can use new, time-limited power boosts.

Spyro: Year of the Dragon

The last Spyro game that Insomniac developed was Spyro: Year of the Dragon (Insomniac continues to be even more successful on PlayStation 2 with the recognizable platform sci-fi game Ratchet & Clank).

Released in the year of the dragon (according to the Chinese zodiac), the game is still progressing even more, with improved graphics and a host of new playable characters.

Set in The Lost World, new villain The Sorceress sends her enchantress, Bianca the Rabbit, and her henchmen to capture newly brought dragon eggs.

Spyro, Sparx and Hunter ventured to pursue them, simultaneously searching for the family world and new portals such as Sunrise Spring, Midday Gardens, Evening Lake and Midnight Mountain.

In this new adventure, Spyro meets characters that must be purchased from Moneybag: Sheila the Kangaroo, Sergeant Byrd the Penguin, Bentley the Yeti and Agent 9 the Space Monkey.

Each of these characters has their own portal to bring peace.

Typically, the characters also have features like minigames at other levels, such as using your double jump ability like Shelia to reach the egg in Sunny Villa.

Spyro and his new friends earn an egg for their minigame challenges like skateboarding, boxing, and racing.

This is where Spyro has changed completely.

However, loyal fans continue to play the other games that have already been made, but Spyro will still have a place in the hearts of PS1 gamers.
