World profile for paper plane flights
A Japanese engineer named Takuo Toda officially put the world record for the longest flight for a paper plane, holding his design in the air in 27.9 seconds.
It is made from a folded paper without cuts;
Takuo Toda was the head of "Japanese Origami Aircraft Association", he gained this world record by folding a shuttle-shaped paper plane.
He explained that this achievement was just the first step in his goal of launching a paper plane from space.
"If it is proven that a paper plane can penetrate the Earth's atmosphere and surf a safe way, the science community can achieve very valuable aerodynamics data."
