Origin of Yeti
Faith in Yeti's existence dates back to thousands of years ... but did they ever really exist?
Let's take a closer look at Yeti's origin.
What are the oldest clues so far?
One of the most popular explanations about Yeti's origin is that descendant of giant APE, Gigantopithecus.
Gigantopithecus's fossil elements were found in India and China, and they dated 3,000 years to 12 million years ago.
During this period, the Himalayan range increased to 2500/3000 meters.
Due to the increase in this height, many animals, including Yeti's ancestors can be isolated.
How do we know what they look like?
Based on fossils still, scientists can give a good estimate of how huge gibbons will look like.
They believe that APE will be about 3 meters high (about 9.8 ft) and with a bracelet over 3.6 meters (12 ft)!
...
Some experts make that the famous Yeti's footprints have been found on the snow, which means it cannot be Yeti's ancestors.
On the ski road located on a bare terrain cannot support the lives of large mammals, including Yeti.
They said that Yeti already existed, it had to live in lower forest valleys of the Himalayas.
Here the vegetation is dense and frequent fog.
This means there are few people of people bothering them.
So, although there are theories where Yeti comes from, or what it might be, I guess we can never really know.
