The Truth about Pokémon Starting Second Generation

Following the Pokémon from the popular anime, Ash Ketchum journeyed from the Indigo Islands to the Orange Islands.

However, it was the Johto region where he, Misty, and Brock met three beginner Pokémon.

And you too.

Who would you choose from in the Johto regions?

Chikorita

Chikoria was the first lawn harvester in the Johto region.

It is also classified as a Green Leaf Pokémon.

Leaves on top of head are longer than stems.

It is a special body organ, as it can produce vines, produce leaves, secrete odors that soothe and heal, and can check the humidity and temperature around it.

While in the sun, it also uses photosynthesis to feed itself.

Chikorita evolved into Bayleaf.

Chikorita was the second Pokémon that Ash caught on his journey.

It affords a great deal of affection for Ash and refuses to swap in battle for Ash's regular companion, Pikachu.

It was also the first confirmed female Pokémon by Ash.

Cyndaquil

Cyndaquil was the first fireman.

Its name literally means 'little needles' or 'little hairs'.

It has blue feathers and a white underbelly.

In self-defense, flames will grow along its back.

It can also use smoke to shield itself from its enemies.

Cyndaquil grows into Quilava.

Cyndaquil is the third Pokémon that Ash can catch.

He was lazy, often tired, and sick.

However, when it evolved into Quilava, it was very calm, serious, and stoic.

It was also Ash's first pure fire Pokémon without any previous trainer.

Totodile

Totodile is the first beginning.

Its name literally means ‘child of alligator‘.

It has extremely sharp teeth that can repel frostbite bites.

While extremely tough, it also has a playful attitude, which often excites the trainer.

Totodile evolved into Croconaw.

Totodile was the last of the initiators to join Ash and his group.

It proves to be a popular Pokémon as Ash has to fight Misty for the right to hold him.

Ash's Totodile is famous for its victorious dances, often turning into spins and spinning after a battle.
