"Tell me something about Siri."

Siri, another technological advancement that has made our lives significantly easier… or at least, it's designed to be.

Following all the obvious leaps in technology, we use them for the most nonsense and nonsense we can think of, who wouldn't ask Siri to tell them a joke or that

Apple started a new dawn for virtual assistants when it combined the iPhone with its built-in voice assistant.

While most actually use it as a tool to cheer them up, Siri is a godsend for those who use it properly.

Siri lets you book appointments, find minute-by-minute updates on flights, movies and traffic, and can email Margret a photo of a cat you know she loves.

Siri is a permanent Apple icon that feels like half eaten fruit.

Here, we take a look at 5 facts you probably didn't know about Siri.

Siri was unknowingly used to bypass iOS security by granting access to the phone app.

From there you can use your phone to dial numbers, listen to saved voicemails, view and change contact information, access photos, use Twitter and log in email.

In 2013, Dany Lisiansky posted a video tutorial on YouTube showing how to do this.

On April 4, 2016, YouTuber “videosdebarraquito” uploaded a video showing a new privacy issue.

It shows that people can ask Siri on a locked iPhone to search for tweets and then use 3D Touch on an email address in the results to access their contacts and photo library without having to unlock the device.

AppleInsider says this particular issue only applies to iOS 9.3.1 on iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, and of course Siri can be disabled on the lock screen in Settings.

Siri TV star.

Siri has made several television appearances since its inception and is voiced by a variety of actors, including The Big Bang Theory, Criminal Minds, Boondocks, and The Simpsons.

In The Big Bang Theory, Dr. Rajesh Koothrappali fell in love with his Siri, played by Becky O’Donohue.

His love affair ends when Raj, with his selective mutation abilities, has a dream that he goes to meet Siri as a real woman and is unable to speak to her.

In the episode ‘What Animated Women Want’ by The Simpsons, Homer asks Siri about other options for better voice-activated phone assistant, Siri responds by tapping him.

Siri has also appeared in Ant-Man in the scene where Ant-Man and Yellowjacket are fighting.

Since October 4, 2011, Susan Benett from Atlanta, Georgia, has been in the pockets of millions of people across America.

Offers reminders, weather forecasts, restaurant recommendations and has been scolded, ridiculed and asked our weirdest questions.

Ms. Benett is the original American voice of Siri.

Acoustical forensic expert Ed Primeau, with more than 30 years of experience, has studied both voices and said he is 100% sure that the two voices are the same and even asked a colleague to die.

Ms. Bennett's website also confirmed she is indeed the official voice of Siri.

Siri's arrival on Android is very close!

Siri was originally released as an iOS app available in the App Store produced by Adam Cheyer, Dag Kittlaus, and Tom Gruber of Siri Inc.

The company was acquired by Apple in 2010. Siri, Inc.

After this announcement, a lot of clones, I mean completely standalone variants, have been released on Android platforms like Window's Cortana and LG's Genie.

Multilingual Siri does not understand stress.

Siri is used across Apple's entire range including iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple Watch, and Apple TV.

It is available in about 20 languages across platforms including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Hebrew, Norwegian, Russian, and Spanish.

However, Apple TV is only available in 8 countries;

With all of these languages supported, you could assume that voice recognition and stress would be a walk in the park for Siri, away from it.

In 2011, a crowd of angry and frustrated Scottish iPhone users lost their translations for their accents, with my favorite saying "can you dance with me?"

Though Apple apparently tested it with a few accents including Scottish, Welsh and Irish!

So we have it, 5 weird facts you probably didn't know about Siri yet!

Now, when you get to know your old iPhone 6, you can talk to Susan Bennett and try your best Scottish audition for some great results.
