What are Pigs in a Shepherd?
Pigs in blankets are a type of food also known as demon on horseback, sausage and wink.
They are foods made from different sausages but not sausage rolls.
In the UK, pigs in blankets are small sausages, or chipolatas wrapped in bacon.
In the US, pigs in blankets are often used to refer to sausages, Vienna sausages, or breakfast sausages wrapped in biscuits, croissants or pancakes and then baked.
To celebrate this day, you just need to cook and eat 'pig in a blanket'.
To me, this day is not as good as National Rice Cake Day, but it is still delicious!
