The natural satellite that we all call the Moon is slowly drifting away from Earth, however, without panicking, it will not go as fast.

Each year, the Moon moves 3.8 cm from Earth, this is due to tidal action, and as a result the Earth slows down by about 0.002 seconds per century.

There is a theory that scientists have discovered that suggests that the moon was created more than 4.6 billion years ago by an object the size of Mars.
