History of adventure calendar
Advent is the beginning of the Christmas season in England, it starts four Sundays before Christmas.
Calendar Advent is countdown to Christmas Day, they start on December 1.
The windows of the calendar are open every day leading to Christmas where you can see a beautiful picture or find some chocolate inside.
Origin Calendar Advent.
The first adventure schedule was produced in the early 1800s in Germany, although not the type of cardboard we received these days.
Christians think of different ways to count down days since the beginning of Advent Christmas.
At first Christians followed the days by creating chalks on their doors, once once Christmas came closer.
Candles Advent and bringing up a small religious picture to mark every day are other ways to count down the days.
The first realistic Advent calendar that we still bought today was produced in the early 1900s, although the first series was produced in 1908 by Gerhard Lang, who worked at the office printing Reichhold & Lang in
Enterprises have produced more than thirty different schedules until the 1930s. These calendars have 24 doors and are much better decorated than the adventure schedule that we have these days.
Chocolate calendar adventure.
Previously, the adventure calendar had a door that opened religious photos, and some have chocolate to keep the attention of children.
This has been shown to be popular over the years but must be kept when World War II begins, because of paper, hardcover and chocolate is limited.
However, once the war ended the production of early adventure calendars was selected again in 1946, do not contain chocolates.
By the end of 1950, Calendar Chocolate Advent reappeared and began spreading around the world.
Ten years later, many countries are using the adventure schedule to count the day to Christmas day.
Calendar Advent is still very popular all over the world and now came thousands of various varieties, some only with images, other varieties only with chocolate
The religious meaning of the adventure calendar has been lost though.
