Who is Levi Strauss?
Levi Strauss was born on February 26, 1829 and founder Levi Strauss & Co., the first company made green jeans.
The company was created in 1853 and based in San Francisco.
He was born in Germany to a Jewish family, although Strauss and his family moved to the US when he was 18 years old.
Levi Strauss is not the only person with business skills, because his two brothers started trading dry goods in New York.
Perhaps inspired by his brothers, Levi opened his own dry goods business in 1853 as soon as he became a US citizen.
He sold many different things, including beds and handkers.
A brief history of blue jeans
On May 20, 1873, blue jeans were first a patent.
Jacob Davis was created by a local farmer's wife to withstand daily wear and hard labor tear.
He decided that adding metal studs in the most stressful part of the clothes, it would prevent damage and make clothes last longer.
His idea was successful, and soon many workers flocked to hold a pair.
However, Davis needs a business partner to help with patent on green jeans, and because he bought documents from Levi Strauss, it can be thought about no better people to ask.
When he saw how much a jeans had and they had so many potentials, Strauss was only happy to combine with Davis and got a patent.
